The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited (“Butterfield”) today announced that 11-year-old customer Zion Simmons is the winner of a new Apple iPad being given away by as part of Butterfield’s annual Young Savers campaign in Bermuda.
This summer, every new young person who opened a Young Savers account was automatically entered into a draw to win the iPad.
Sean Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Bermuda Retail Banking presented the gift to an excited Zion, who held a tight grip on the iPad during the photo shoot!
“We are delighted to award this prize to Zion,” Mr. Lee said. “This promotion is proof that saving with Butterfield can be very rewarding!”
Designed especially for customers aged 10 to 17, the Young Savers account helps young people learn to save, manage their money and become financially responsible. Young Savers account holders receive a youth ATM card for deposits and small withdrawals (up to $200 per day).
When Butterfield Young Savers account holders turn 18, their accounts are automatically converted to Butterfield Strata Savings Accounts. Young Savers also have the opportunity to attend Butterfield’s ‘Hook Up’ class where they receive important financial information to help them support their lifestyles during their college years and beyond.
