Digicel Customers can now Top Up their Prepaid Accounts via any Butterfield Bank ATM.

(Hamilton, Bermuda – Thursday, 18 May, 2006)  Butterfield Bank and Digicel today jointly announce the introduction of a new service called iTop Up.  Butterfield Bank customers with Digicel cellular phones can now use their Butterfield Card debit cards to top up their Digicel FLEX Prepaid account island-wide via Butterfield Bank’s extensive network of ATMs. It is the first service of its kind in Bermuda. 

 

Butterfield Bank customers simply insert their Butterfield Card debit card into any Butterfield Direct ATM and follow the instructions displayed on the screen. It's fast, easy and free of charge.

 

“We are delighted to partner with Digicel to offer our mutual customers a more convenient way to add credit to their prepaid cellular service, ’’ notes Derrick Smith, AVP of Electronic Banking at Butterfield Bank. “Being the first bank in Bermuda to offer this innovative service is just one part of our continuing effort to constantly improve Butterfield Bank’s service to our customers.’’
