For the third year in a row, Butterfield Bank was named ‘Best Bank in Bermuda’ by Euromoney, one of the world’s leading financial publications.
Today’s award follows an announcement from Euromoney in January that named Butterfield Bank ‘Best Local Bank in the Caribbean’ and ‘Best Local Private Bank in Bermuda’. In February we were also named ‘Best Developed Market Bank in Bermuda’ for 2008 by Global Finance magazine.
Alan R. Thompson, Butterfield Bank’s President & Chief Executive Officer said, “It is a great honour to win a third consecutive Best Bank in Bermuda Award from Euromoney magazine, particularly during our Sesquicentennial Year. The Butterfield Way of doing business is about serving customers well, creating value for shareholders, giving back to our community and providing opportunities to our employees. We are always happy to hear about it when our hard work has not gone unnoticed.”
Clive Horwood, Editor of Euromoney told Butterfield Bank: “Many congratulations to you and your colleagues on your achievements in the past 12 months”.
Butterfield Bank’s first award from Euromoney was presented in 2006, the inaugural year that these awards were available to banks in Bermuda.
